Reviews and Ratings
The hotel overlooks a lake, providing a pleasant setting, although the rooms are quite dated and may not be worth the price paid. The temperature inside was uncomfortably warm despite nice weather outside, requiring the use of a fan for relief. The service was lacking in thoroughness and timing for dining options but did shine in salvaging a difficult situation, and the location, while breathtaking, could use some improvements in certain areas.
The hotel provided a unique experience with rooms situated in buildings outside of the main lodge. The room was adequate but lacked a luxurious feel. The service was exceptional, from flawless check-in to genuine care. The location, while against a beautiful lake surrounded by mountains, fell short of Fairmont standards in some aspects. The dining experience at Jasper Park Lodge was pleasantly different and enjoyable. Overall, it offered a quiet and relaxing atmosphere with spectacular scenery.
The hotel is quite large and offers recreational activities like table football, pool, table tennis, and a table boole. However, the rooms are smaller than most, with added expenses for services like room service. There were issues with extensive black mold on the bathroom tile grout, giving a moldy smell.
The hotel was perfectly located, offering a charming view of the mountains through the trees. However, the room temperature was uncomfortably hot day and night, giving more of a summer camp vibe than a luxury stay. The Christmas decorations added a festive touch.
The hotel was spacious and, what was more important, clean. However, it was in desperate need of a deep clean and maintenance upgrade, with black spots all over the bathroom ceiling that turned out to be dead bugs, a broken heat system in the room, and non-functional cold water tap. Being reliant on resort cars for transport due to snow overnight was a slight inconvenience.
The room was not what we expected, being a 10-minute walk from the bus drop, which was disappointing due to broken bathroom mirrors, outdated furniture, and bedding. On the bright side, the service was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially the restaurant servers. However, there was a lack of follow-through on an important fire safety complaint. The location was good overall, with the shuttle bus mostly working as planned and the staff being top-class. The dining experience was nice, offering an extensive but additional expense for a help-yourself hot and cold food selection. A formal setting was enjoyed but seemed a bit pricey for the value. The facilities were satisfactory, providing what was expected for the price paid.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms started quite comfortable until 5 pm, but then the subpar entry-level room turned out to be tired, with no view and questionable cleanliness. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, within their control, despite a slight hiccup that was resolved after a complaint. The location had its ups and downs; while it was under construction without a discount for the inconvenience, we enjoyed watching wildlife on the grounds. The dining was good, but not as plentiful as expected, with a bit of a wait for a table. Overall, a decent stay but with room for improvement.
The hotel is well-located with beautiful views and lovely walks around the grounds. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but the decor is very dated, leading to a somewhat disappointing experience. The service stands out for being phenomenal and very professional, enhancing the overall stay.
The hotel room was small, and I couldn't even close the door when using the washroom; the walls were very scuffed. The check-in wasn't ready until 5:45 pm, and the staff were a bit rude, acting as if I was demanding too much to check in before 6 pm. The room was expensive, dingy, and dark with a view of the car park, but decent in size and quite comfortable.
My stay at the hotel was quite enjoyable overall. The rooms, while similar in comfort to a utility room, were furnished with a king size bed and other amenities. The service was top-notch, with friendly and accommodating staff. The location, while not perfect, offered beautiful surroundings and close proximity to natural attractions. The dining experience was above average but slightly overpriced. The facilities provided were satisfactory, adding to the overall experience.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed bag. While the location was beautiful by the lake and the staff were extremely helpful, the ongoing construction was a downside considering the high price paid. The dining options were decent, but the breakfast buffet left more to be desired. The heated pool and friendly butler service were definite highlights.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean and in good condition overall, but the windows in my room were poorly insulated, making it a bit uncomfortable. The service was a bit hit and miss, with some staff being wonderful and helpful while others seemed a bit outdated in their approach. The location was delightful with beautiful views and convenient access to resort facilities, but the dining experience left much to be desired with limited options and long wait times. The facilities were decent, offering some good amenities, but some areas needed updating.
